About Nadine

“When I let go of what I am

I can become what I might be.” – Lao Tzu

Nadine is a retired Executive for the West Coast Region of the Social Security Administration, SSA.

Now as the Principal of Integrated Spaces, a well known business for mindful interiors in the San Francisco Bay Area, Nadine weaves together western neuroscience, eastern contemplative traditions, interior design and modern environmental psychology.

Her expertise  helps you create spaces that ‘ feel comfortable, safe and secure.’ They must also serve multi-functional purposes to improve focus, self-awareness and  reduce anxiety for the whole family.

Nadine’s philosophy is

to balance the rationality of the HEAD with more focus on the HEART… go beyond robotic efficiency, artificial intelligence, and stressful lifestyles. Bring back ‘human’ qualities like empathy, kindness,  compassion and simplicity starting at HOME and embedded in the WORKPLACE … to bring out the best in ourselves and the children …for a better future.

With a degree in Business as a foundation,

Nadine expanded her management toolkit by studying the correlation between Eastern and Western practices as they impacted ‘human’ wellness, productivity and creativity in both the workplace and the home environment.

`

Nadine’s Business teaching skills,

in Communications, Consensus Building, Stress Management, Effective Team Relationships, and Time/Energy Management helped to smooth the challenges of change  as technological advancements continually transformed the workplace.. These life skills were easily transferred to the home, family, and community environment to promote enhanced emotional balance.

`

As a Mentor for Women in the Senior Management program,

Nadine worked tirelessly to help women from all backgrounds gain meaningful job training to be prepared for advancement opportunities while also balancing home responsibilities.  She believes that MOMs are the CEOs of the HOME.

Travels to China and Indonesia,

sparked Nadine’s curiosity to learn the 8 Branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM, a Holistic approach to mental and physical well-being. By taking more self-responsibility for our own healthcare  in the West, we could greatly reduce medical costs with preventative practices used for centuries in the East.

TCM included the study of creating homes which provided a feeling of security, happiness, quality airflow, and lovely views to nourish the body, mind and spirit. Children benefited from the simplicity, structure, and love in the environment.

`

A  Tai Chi / Qigong moving meditation practice learned as part of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) curriculum,

was key to helping Nadine manage stress over the years. She became a Certified Qi Gong Teacher to help others also benefit from the sustainable health practices.

`

Attendance at the Peace of Mind Retreat at Mt Abu – Rajasthan, India,

inspired Nadine to learn more about the mental and physical benefits of Mindfulness Meditation as taught by the Brahma Kumaris in India for professionals. She continues Mindfulness studies at the Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and has completed the one year North America Teacher Training program Cultivating Emotional Balance.

`

Have FUN, not FEAR. Nadine, as a snake charmer in India. FOCUS on what creates ‘constructive moments of genuine happiness’ rather than destructive emotions that bring you down.

Nadine has volunteered as

a reader for children in the nearby Hispanic community and counselor on the Suicide Hotline with an emphasis on helping Battered Women.

This is in addition to her love of being outdoors… sailing, skiing, or gardening and helping friends reset their home environments.
