Conserve Resources for Everyone to Enjoy the Basics of Living

These women must be very aware of how to conserve their precious water as they go out to fetch it every day.

With global warming, for these and many others, water will not be available to fill their jugs in the future.

For many Americans, living more sustainably has become a natural part of their daily routine. Many consistently recycle, reuse materials, eat natural foods, and use energy more efficiently.

Also, for those in drought stricken areas, we have become more aware of how to conserve water in small ways. Turning faucets off while brushing our teeth, using drought tolerant plants, and minimizing the water we use to wash our big cars can all make a difference.

We often think the problems of global warming are so big that we can’t do anything about it as individuals. But we can.

People can make a difference by making responsible choices in their every day life.

It’s easy to start at home by adopting one new practice and sticking with it until it becomes a good habit. Then add a second practice, etc. This keeps everyone from getting overwhelmed.

Make it fun by getting the kids involved with their ideas, and joint commitment. Needless to say, it is their world that they will want to make better for everyone.

Not just for themselves, but for those women and children carrying the jugs to fetch their precious water.

The key is to practice small steps well, and over time, we can collectively make a cumulative difference to conserve the planet’s natural resources!

Feng Shui was the original ecological science. The ancients understood the value of  revering nature, and all the blessed resources she bestowed.

We can all make a difference!
