How to Achieve Peace through Stillness

Peace thru Nature's Stillness

Peace thru Nature’s Stillness

“Never On Sunday” the 1960’s hit song, hints at how stillness helps you achieve peacefulness by allocating one day a week ‘off ‘ from your mechanical devices and hectic schedules.

But never, never on a Sunday

A Sunday, a Sunday ’cause that’s my day of rest.

None of us have a day of rest these days- everyone is permanently ‘on’.

However, neuro- science studies are showing that your brain requires stillness – a day of rest, in order to operate at your best.

Your mind must relax and release the toxins  just like the muscles in your body.

Most of us are sleeping less, ingesting more information than ever, and operate in emergency mode- jumping from one crisis to another.

The result is ‘stress’ overload, the health epidemic of the 21st century.

Stress can be healthy in certain circumstances.

But beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and starts causing major damage to your productivity, family and work relationships, creativity, emotional ups and downs, overall success, and to every major system in your body.

Feng Shui is about understanding how stillness in your, body, mind and the spaces in which you spend a lot of time are intimately connected.

How can you expect to experience inner peace of mind if your body is surrounded by chaotic outer space?

5 Steps to Transform Your Space into a Peaceful Retreat through Stillness:

1. Start with the clear intention of creating a set space to sit any place  in your home, which can magically transport you back to your inner core.

2. The emphasis is to create the luxurious experience that comes from stillness with no clutter or distractions. (I can help you find that feng shui energy spot.)

3. Slow down this needs to become a habit. Get calm and peaceful  to gain clarity and eliminate self-centeredness.

4. Concentrate in a peaceful space to gain a new perspective. When the mind is rested, the thoughts are not clouded by fatigue and negativity.

5. Add a touch of Nature with the; growth of a  plant, inner smile of a flower, flow of water, stability of a rock, or winds (incense) carrying love throughout the home.
